Testimonials

Peer Trainer and Social Media Manager at Diversity Radio

Federica Boscolo

Since being discharged from a psychiatric hospital, I have managed to challenge my own prejudices and have taken my recovery to another level. If I can, you can.

It has been a long journey, a painful journey. I didn’t need to put on a brave mask anymore and pretend that everything was fine. Acceptance was the key factor, the foundation of my journey to recovery.

People who use services are experts on how services should be developed and delivered. They have a first-hand experience, they know what they need, and what works well and what does not.

User involvement therefore enables me to make sure the voices of other vulnerable people are heard and they are able to actively shape and improve the services they use.

I play a role in Diversity Radio as Social Media Manager to spread awareness and knowledge about mental health through a digital radio platform.

I also share my strength and determination. Being part of Real Insight and Diversity Radio projects has helped me to build a positive outlook to the future through the strong peer support they offer.

Service user involvement – it is very rewarding and gives me a sense of purpose.

My confidence has grown and I am now a Law student. I have an unique snd innovative vision to develop new policies and update the Mental Health Act through my law studies.

We are now willing to take our skilled knowledge and expertises across borders with Dangana Foundation.

Recovery is not a race, it’s a journey.
